Situated a mere 13 miles away from Boston, Lexington is a gorgeous suburban community built on historic grounds. The area is known for its outstanding schools, beautiful homes, plentiful green spaces (including several conservation areas and a bird sanctuary), and the many things to do and see in town. Lexington is a fantastic location for commuters working in Boston who desire a life outside of the hustle and bustle of the city.
 
Most notably, Lexington is recorded in history books as the site of one of the first battles in the American Revolutionary War. On April 19, 1775, the Battles of Lexington and Concord were fought. In town, you can stand in the exact spot that this battle began at the Lexington Common National Historic Site.
